My sis posted a hilarious video of what would seem to be a Youtube celebrity cat called Maru.

This cat has the weirdest personality ever (but damn adorable!). Just watch the videos and you’ll see what I mean. Especially the part at 4:17. He seems to love boxes…If I’m ever gonna get a cat, I want one like Maru and I’d totally call him Boris! Watching Maru puts a smile on my face.

MSN is quite the only IM I use regularly. I also have an AIM account but I can’t be reached often there. So, today, I’ve downloaded Windows Live Messenger 9.0 Beta (I got an email regarding this). It has gone through a major layout change if you compare it with Windows Live Messenger 8.5 or lower. The biggest addition would be the allowance of using .gif (animated) images, they actually move now! However, your contact must have 9.0 as well to see them moving so it might still take a while before your .gif files actually come to use. Another addition is assigning different sounds to different contacts. Yeah, not very exciting. Other than these things, not much can be said about the new MSN. I won’t switch back to 8.5 though, it’s good eye candy. ; ) See for yourself here.

Oh, one disadvantage: MSN Plus! (logs, tabbed chatting (they still didn’t implement that?!)) doesn’t work on it yet. But I’m sure it’s going to be released very soon.

Google has many, many projects running. One of them includes Google Chrome (previously known as Chronium), their webbrowser. I’ve been using it for a month now and it’s quite good actually. Before Chrome, I’ve always used Firefox due to its speed, tabbed browsing and safety. However, I get the feeling Chrome is faster (it boots faster, for me), has the same easy tabbed browsing and decent security (I heard Firefox was better at that). A few other features are the ‘most visited’ page where you can easily access your favorite pages, downloads are seperate on each page and my favorite feature: typing an adress in your bar will make it search in Google for relevant links or earlier visited links. For example, when I want to go to IMDB, I only need to type the ‘i’ and voila, imdb shows up immediately. This makes browsing so much quicker and more convenient. However, Chrome is not without bugs. It’s still in its beta phase and you can experience problems with it. I haven’t yet. Try it out at Google Chrome.
