Super Street Fighter IV: Chun Li and Cammy vs. Juri

A new video promoting the upcoming game (or expansion rather) Super Street Fighter IV. Street Figher IV has had amazing promotional videos and this one certainly isn’t an exception. Chun Li and Cammy fight it out with newcomer Juri, who is one of the more interesting characters that are being added in the new game. I wonder if she’s going to be the one that will stop me from playing a shoto character such as Ryu. d:

Final Fantasy XIII Dated

My anticipation for this game has never been higher. Square-Enix’ latest anagram “A Henchmen Inventor Tent Unto” gave us “Announcement Nov Thirteenth” and as promised, they gave us something alright. A release date, to be exact, through this (somewhat cheesy, yet epic) video. Especially the gameplay at 3:55 was really nice. I cannot wait for 9 March 2010!

Resident Evil 5

I bought this game two days ago and man, it is awesome. I’m not going to write a review, just a few points of interests. If you want to see a review, check out Gametrailers’ review.

With, although a bit exaggerated on the arms but still extremely good looking  , BSAA agent Chris Redfield and partner Sheva Alomar, you follow your only lead to the Uruboros project, Ricardo Irving. Who’s the masked lady that accompanies Irving and what connections did Umbrella have with Tricell? I haven’t finished the game yet, but so far the story has been satisfying and I’m really anxious to find out the answers. Tensions get very high when you have to manage your inventory in real time (which is a plus, in my opinion) and although the AI lacks a bit in the conserve ammo department, it’s doing a pretty good job. Ofcourse, the game is at its best with a real life friend or over the internet. Graphically, the game is beautiful and probably on par with Gears of War 2 or even better.

One more thing on the controls…I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the controls on how slow, clumsy and whatnot it is. Even several reviews have stated this. I’m like, wtf? Every Resident Evil has had this kind of controls and now all of a sudden it’s a negative thing? That’s just bull. It never has been a problem and the controls are easily mastered.

An awesome game that’s gonna last me for a while.

Resident Evil 5

Third reason.

The Resident Evil movies were…Well, decent. They could’ve been a lot better. As for the previous Resident Evil games (1, 2 and 3), they scared the shit out of me back in the days. I remember having nightmares, especially because of Nemesis in RE3. Got to play RE4 a bit, mostly watching a play through the whole game at a friends place and I was quite impressed. Recently, the Tokyo Game Show (which is going on right now) revealed a new trailer for Resident Evil 5 and some new gameplay footage (co op, once again!). Honestly, I can’t wait to play it. See below for some pictures and a trailer from the TGS.

Trailer. He…er, it’s pretty graphics.

Street Fighter IV

Reason number two to buy a PS3 (or Xbox360 for that matter): Street Fighter IV. I’ve always loved Street Fighter games ever since I was a child. I remember playing Street Fighter Alpha and Street Fighter Zero 2 so much. None of my friends like it though, bah.

Anyway, here’s a trailer introducing Sakura (!) to Street Fighter IV. I really hoped she’d be in it as she’s my favorite character and she is! Wicked. Oh, notice her theme song as well, totally Sakura!

White Knight Chronicles

Also known as White Knight Story but besides that, we don’t know much about this game. It’s going to be an exclusive RPG on the PS3 and it might be one of the reasons (more on this later) to purchase one. I’ve wanted to buy a PS3 ever since Metal Gear Solid 4 came out, but after watching all cinematics (the game is practically  a movie…) the urge was gone. Now, it’s totally back! Check out this awesome trailer (with awesome music I must say).

Red Alert 3 Talent Remix

Which gamer doesn’t recognise the phrase “All your base are belong to us“? A phrase said by George Takei (probably best known in the original Star Trek series, also Hiro’s father in Heroes) in the very cool talent remix of Red Alert 3. Let’s have a walkthrough at some of the scenes shall we?

The video starts with Jonathan Pryce, whom I know from Pirates of the Caribbean. Then some ex play mate comes into play, followed by J.K. Simmons from Spiderman. From 0:29 to 0:49 George speaks out the famous line: All your base are belong to us. At 1:00, you’ll see Peter Stormare or maybe better known as John Abruzzi in Prison Break. I think he’s a perfect fit for the seemingly crazy doctor. 1:22, the music comes forth. ‘Everybody dance now!’. I thought the hand clapping starting at 1:37 was really neat. ‘Sounds kind of kinky’ doesn’t it?

2:08: Command and Conquer. Red Alert 3. October 28th. Can’t wait to play.
